Pentax LX back question

Hi all, I tried researching but couldnt seem to find a definitive answer. I purchased an LX recently from a seller who had no idea about it, turns out it works, electrics are perfect, slightly sticky mirror but I'll get it fixed anyway, it came with a dial data LX back on it (which I'm not a fan of) and I'd much rather the sleeker original back. Was it interchangeable with any other Pentax 35mm bodies at all? Or do I need to try find a specific back for the LX?
Considering I only paid 100 dollars for the body, I can't bring myself to pay 100 bucks for just the back on eBay, hence the curiousity if you can swap it with an MX back or anything.
Knowing my luck, probably not, but worth asking!

Lovely little camera however!

The LX back is unique to the LX. You will have to get one only from another LX.

There was also the watch data back.
The manual is on my website if you need it.

Bugger. That's what I thought. Anyone know anywhere else other than eBay I could source a back? Or where someone may want a trade for a data back haha.
Thank you Kim! I'll go check it out

It’s worth throwing up a ‘WTB’ add in the classifieds here. Possibly over at photrio as well

I think I might have a spare MX back but almost sure not an LX one.

Pretty certain I got rid of the dial data back and the watch back as well.

If you come across one, try to get one of the last run of screens. They are much brighter and make a big difference.

also check with service shops. Someone was recently looking for a standard back for a Pentax 67 (his camera came with the polaroid back), and he got one from Eric and pentaxs.com.
