The craiglist equivalent of Venezuela, Mercadolibre, is full of nice (and cheap) surprises.
There's this guy that's selling the following:

Pentax LX (black)
Pentax A 135mm 2.8
Pentax A 28mm 2.8
Pentax M 50mm 1.7
Torex 49mm P.L ???

He's asking 50$ and is even willing to negotiate it...

Even though I already have lenses on those focal lengths I would run and buy it if it weren't on a different state or I wasn't so broke

Seems like a no brainer to me, unless you have cause to think these items were stolen. Of course the camera could be in such poor condition it's not worth it. If the camera is in decent condition, sell the lenses and you might get more than your money back.

I've bought many camera gear across states on CL by sending cash and paying for shipment. It seems classic camera owners are trustworthy as I haven't been disappointed yet . . .

I hope you bought this. I hope someone bought this. Every Pentax owner needs to have an LX just to know what the best camera ever made was like.

I still use my LX and it's been going strong since 1983 - that's 36 years. I had one service done on it about 15 years ago.

I consider every camera I bought after that to be disposable. My LX will be buried with me.

Of course $50 is a good price for an LX body if working and in good condition.

If overhaul or other repair is required a cheap LX may not be such a bargain.
Also consider shipping and customs charges if there's no good local repairer.

OTOH those lenses alone are worth far more than $50 if in good condition...

Along with the lenses, you can even part it out. That strapholders alone alone can get that and most certainly the viewfinder will fetch more.

If I saw that anywhere in the US - without knowing condition, I would pay cash up front and pay shipping!

there is an LX for $100 on adorama, but it is listed as "parts" and missing a finder, so not worth the chance to my mind.
