What does Winnebago have anything to do with a sightseeing screwmount Pentax lens?

I’m guessing it’s what he got when he googled ‘sightseeing screwmount’

I guess that's why I didn't get that, because my search included Pentax lens.

I’ll start the list. You’ll be #1 once the camera comes back from Eric.

Can I be #2? I'd LOVE to participate this time around. I was thinking of getting on the list for the travelling K1000 a couple years ago, but I was pretty busy then. I just sold my SV a few months ago and I miss it already. My Sekonic L8 misses it too!

I can see on the old Sightseeing Screwmount thread the camera was CLA’ed in 2015, so I’m going to send it on to @murrelet as soon as I have an address. Here is the link to the original Sightseeing Screwmount thread

Sightseeing Screwmount - PentaxForums.com

Go to I the last post and I’ll restart the list there.

Great. Is it shipping with a lens? Am I limited to only using the SV as received, or can I use my full range of M42 glass with it? I have pretty much everything from 35-300mm in M42 I think. I might even have a 28 or 24, but not sure about that without going to look.

There’s a Super Tak 55/1.8 mounted and a Super Tak 135/3.5 is also in the box, along with a vintage Sekonic incident meter. You can use any lens you want - IIRC it is an orange R body so you can even use the 8-element 50/1.4. There’s cut foam and a plywood boxliner inside the Priority Mail carton to protect everything. The manual has disappeared but you can download a really good scan here SV Manual. The password is Pentax.

I restarted the original Sightseeing Screwmount Thread (link in Post #23 above). The Flickr Group is still alive (same name). I don’t think any images have been lost.

Oh man. Just took a look at the soon-to-be resurrected Flickr group photostream. A lot of Portland pics. I'm going to have to get creative.

You’re really going to like this camera. I think photostevia is @stevebrot who had the camera in (roughly) 2010.

I'd sent a Super Tak 28 with it, looks like it got swapped out for the 135 at some point. Either way, it is a great camera with a very smooth feel, and frees you to your own intelligence for exposure. I'm happy we'll get another round with it.

Huh. Interesting about the ST28. The top layer of the foam is cut off center for the mount end of the 135. I’d bet the 28 fit in the base layer of foam and the top was modified. I don’t have a ST28 in my drawer (I only have a 35/3.5, 55’s and 50’s) so I don’t think I borrowed it. I did unload a partially exposed roll of film before I shipped it so I must have started one weekend and never got another user PM after me.
