Anyone recognise this camera ?

It's not a K1000 or any of the Spots I've checked thus far.

Yup. And with a sharp dent in the prism area...

It is an MX. It's identical to the one I bought my daughter Lucia years ago and I am now holding in my hands. Mine is a black body one.

With a rather clean looking M50 1.7 I might add.

is the MX the only K mount with that style shutter lock? I love that on both the MX and a similar one on the 67.

The KX and K2 (both original & DMD) had a similar shutter lock. I assume possibly the LX as well, but I've never used one.

The model name on many/most K-mount manual cameras is stamped and painted in on the front at the (camera’s own) right shoulder. It should be MX (or whatever other model).

From the dent in the pentaprism cover I can tell it's a Pentax MX...

And oddly enough my K1000 from 1978 also has a dent on the Pentaprism - how it got it is lost in the mists of time.
