Hello

Like a Phoenix rising out of the ashes!
Do you recognize this lady?

Well, it is not over yet, but progress can be shown. I still need to work the light seals and minor things here and there, but she can be seen now!

Tried to polish it out but it was brutally engraved down to the brass.
If anybody sees Lawson, tell him I'm hunting him down for assault, battery and abuse!

Can't see the little window that shows the aperture in the viewfinder. But I could not get the top cover off because a spanner nut did not cooperate. Since the camera is working, I did not force it. Still need to check the meter for accuracy, light seals etc.
But it will soon see the light!

Thanks,

The Judas Window gets out of alignment really easily. It is a nice feature

Hello,

Ready for testing! Taking it out with a roll of Kodak Gold 200, the trusty M50 f4 macro and an old friend, the A70-210 f4
Can't wait to test it!

Pardon the crappy cell phone pic...

Thanks,

Ismael, how do you adjust the speeds?
mine is working OK at 1000, but 60, 30, and 15 are sluggish
8 and under are OK

I did not try to mess with adjusting the speeds because they "sound" ok.
But most importantly, I honestly have no idea how to do that

PICTURES!

We have pictures! The roll was a Kodak Gold 200 that expired over 5 years ago. So the pic quality is not on par to say the Ektar roll I shot a few weeks ago. But they show the camera is working

Old abandoned sugar mill. I'm surprised it withstood the hurricane 2 years ago with only moderate damage.
Overcast day and late afternoon getting dark. Slightly overexposed to make sure but the sky kind of blew up. My fault, not the camera's.

First picture of 2020! My view waking up on Jan 1st

My other love:

Quick lunch break from the office January 2nd. Yes, I love you all up north.

What do you know! Film cameras don't correct for a slightly tilted horizon! It is the photographer's responsibility! What a concept!

Ok, I'm happy
What do you think?

Thanks,

WD-40 isn't a penetrating oil Try something like PB B'laster and leave it overnight or longer.
Beat me to it, I was going to suggest Kroil from Kano labs.

Thanks guys!
Thanks for asking. We are doing ok, but still scared. A 6.4 earthquake at 4:24AM really wakes you up! And another one 3 hours later makes sure you don't go back to sleep for a few days. There was another big one about 4 days later (Saturday) plus hundreds of aftershocks. I'm about 32-35 miles north of the epicenter. The ground zero area was destroyed. Over 600 houses leveled, schools, churches etc. Very sad. No matter how many times you practiced or have been told, the uncertainty wrecks havoc in the collective anxiety. The hurricane was big, but once over it was over. This, you just don't know.
Please keep those affected in your thoughts and prayers.

Thanks,
