Auto 110 Super repair?

Does anyone know who might repair these? Eric doesn't list it on his webpage as one he repairs.

You could try checking with KEH or Advance Camera Repair in Oregon. The problem will be parts.

Repair manual is available online:
Pentax Auto 110 Repair Manual

Advance Camera Repair | Camera repair, sales + service in Portland, OR
KEH Online Camera Repair | Digital and Film Camera Repairs at KEH Camera

FYI just spoke with Advance Camera and they are not comfortable working on the 110 series.

I’m going to try KEH in Seattle as well.

What problem are you having?
To be honest, I’m not sure I would send one to be professionally repaired. They can still be bought inexpensively on the auctions sites with some patience.

My regular 110 works mostly fine but the shutter gets stuck occasionally. The super 110 seems to not hold the shutter at all.

I was hoping to get a functional 110 super by cannibalizing a regular 110 to make it work. Is it logical? No.

I figure if I have the best SLR in the world I should also have the worst. I’m getting a 110 negative carrier and enlarging lens

Mine did that. Spray electrical contact cleaner into the little plunger switch on the top left of the camera (that is utilized when you attach the flash), and into and around the shutter release button.
No need to take anything apart.

Works perfectly now.

Contact cleaner:

You referring to the “get stuck” problem or the “no shutter” problem?

The shutter locking open no matter how bright the light is.

I'd try it for the no shutter problem too.

Let’s try the magic snake oil then. Thankfully having a 20 year old GM truck I have gallons of the stuff in the garage.

I wouldn't call it magic snake oil, as that suggests it's a placebo.

Pentax acknowledges the issue via trouble shooting by pulling the batteries, pointing to an electrical issue.
Age causes oxidation/deterioration in electronic contacts. CRC just cleans these contacts.
