The inventor is not very forthcoming about how it works, but from what I can make out the film in the host camera is replaced by a ground glass screen. A second camera, a tiny digital one housed in the chimney structure at the back, with a 14MPx 1/2.33 sensor (the size of a little finger nail), takes a photo of this ground glass screen via a mirror.

I would say that the consensus was that the pictures it takes are lousy, the handling is clunky, we agreed to differ on whether you could call it "Full Frame" or not (the sensor is tiny but the host camera is FF), and some thought the idea at least is cool but others thought it sucks chunks.
