New Pentax SFXn

I have just taken delivery of about my 6th of 7th SFXn but this one is rather special:
It's brand new, New Old Stock from a camera shop, never had a film through it!

While most of my others came with 35-70mm or no lenses, this one has come with a 35-105mm lens. Also, rather nice, a new Pentax strap, all lens and body caps and a new manual as well. Sadly, not in the original box - apparently they had it on display in the shop and the box is long gone.

As you can see, it's never had a film through it.

Look at that pressure plate, absolutely perfect.

Maybe I can now get rid of some of the more used SFX and SFXn cameras I have.

Nice!
It BEGS to be used!
Carefully remove that insert, exercise it with a roll or two and put the insert back

Thanks,

Thanks,
Once it gets some use I'll probably not bother putting the insert back, but I will keep it.

Beautiful!

Great camera as well, recently took my SF1n on a three week trip and it worked flawlessly.

Enjoy!

Thanks Phil.
I'm off to Wellington tomorrow so will need to see if I can get some film. Can't get any here by us.

It was a bit of a luck. Was posted on a local auction site with a relatively low start price and a very reasonable "buy now" price. Some others were asking questions as to whether it may be defective or not but I figured, what the hell, and hit "buy now" right away.

Congratulations,

Nice find.
So back in January 2018 I bought a new old stock MZ-30 including FA 24-70 F/4. Both brand new in pristine condition including boxes (EUR 70).
The MZ-30 is the film body I use for the Irix 11mm, because of its crippled K-mount. The 24-70mm is sometimes in use on my Z-1 body.

Good luck, and enjoy!

Kind regards, Ron

Really nice! it's exciting to think these things are still around just waiting to be discovered. Those asking questions will be kicking themselves now.

My second Pentax camera - after I'd finally trashed the ME-Super, I entered the world of auto-stuff - wonderful find!

A local camera store here in Vancouver had a NOS Pentax 645 and a couple lenses they proudly displayed. They were a bit pricey though and the 645 was listed at $1000.00 CDN.

You don't need to lie like that. Well, not unless your wife reads the forum.

Maybe the UK is different, or I'm not looking hard enough I don't come across them, perhaps that just as well as I have enough stuff (if that is possible).

Nice find, I used an SFXn as my workhorse in all kinds of conditions and it always delivered. Eventually sold it but have since bought one of each along with the correct AA battery grips (they're interchangeable but different).
