Took the plunge!

I just bought a 645Nii with a 75mm lens, 120 insert, and two 220 inserts.

You ever have one of those moments when you think "What have I done?!?"

Yeah, I'm having one of those.

I think I'll get over it once it arrives, though.

Congratulations! No dog house for you, right?

If you (and your significant other) can live with the event, all the power to you!!! So where did you end up buying it?

Cheers,
Marc

Welcome to the 645 owner's club! You'll love the feel of the camera and the quality of the slides/negatives.

But there's a dark side: Now you'll need/want/crave more lenses...

Thanks Marc! My SO is generally very supportive of my photographic endeavors so I don't expect any fallout.

I bought them on eekbay for about $700. The price difference between the 645, 645N and 645Nii is pretty remarkable, but I knew I wanted the 645Nii for MLU if nothing else.

Oh, I know, but I actually think (hope?) I can control the urge. Over time I've acquired an absurd number (15) of lenses for my MZ-S and K20D and I don't want to repeat that. Given the additional weight of 645 lenses, I definitely want to make judicious choices.

Congratulations as well. That seems like a very good price, especially with the NII body you will soon enjoy.

Once you start using it, I suspect you will have a "Why did I not do this sooner" moment.
