Can anyone identify this pentax?

Seen in a recently delivered Christmas catalogue.
I don't claim encyclopedic knowledge of Pentax models but this has me beat.

That would be the very obscure Asaheica. None of them were actually produced in the 1960s as no one at Asahi Optical were clever enough to think about building such a camera.
The project was abandoned before the camera was even considered by anyone in the company, but some clever people in Germany thought they could make a go of it.

From 1952-1956, Pentax produced four models of Asahiflex which is clearly not the faux rangefinder Leica M3 (circa 1954) pictured in the ad.

The pictured camera tin would be a cool place to hide valuables, except a thief would probably grab it thinking it was some cool vintage camera.

Pentax rangefinder? none.
1960's? even less
That "represents" a Leica M3 from the 50's.

Could be a 50s rangefinder with a Takumar lens...
There was no candy in this one, but I've gotten some goodies out of it...

That does look like it could be an old AOC logo on the lid.
