35mm that can reliably do double exposure

My Pentax ME Super can do double exposure, but I can never get the frames line up correctly.
I understand some Cosina made SLR like Olympus OM2000 can do double exposure reliably, and expensive Leica rangefinders couldn't do it at all.
Which SLR or rangefinders in your experience can do double exposure well?

The Pentax LX does double exposures very well.

Sorry, I don't mean it to be necessarily Pentax, be it SLR or rangefinder, that's why I post it at the section.

Don't let the forum title fool you. The film posters are incredibly camera agnostic.

Answering the question: I used to own a Chinon M-1 — also sold under a number of different names — that did them pretty well: there was a dedicated switch by the advance lever that disengaged the film advance when you toggled it, allowing you to easily cock the shutter as many times as you desired without the frame moving. That and the 1/125 flash sync were the best things about it, as otherwise it was fairly pedestrian m42 camera that didn't have the quite the same quality as higher-end brands.

Ricoh XR-1, XR-1s,XR-2, XR-2s, and XR7...all Pentax K-mount.

Addendum: The Ricoh cameras that have the double exposure feature are easily told by looking for the button on the back of the top cover just below the wind lever.

Before you press the release button, do you first take up the film slack with the rewind lever and hold it in place before pressing the rewind button?

No problem. I just thought you'd reach out to more film shooters here

The Minolta MD/7/11 and XE-7 have a multi-exposure function.

What I like about the F2 that I recall is the counter accurately counts in both directions.

The Chinon CE-4, CE-4s, CE-5, CG-5, CP-6 and propably some more have this switch too, you can recognize it easily on pictures taken of the font of the cameras. Don't buy one of these cameras if you can't see the switch, because it means it is broken. The switch worked perfectly well on my CE-4.

But I would try this first:

I would cock the film with the rewind lever, bevor taking the first picture.

And you can add the KR-10M to that list as well.
Does double exposure well and nowadays you can pick them up secondhand for $50.
