Saw this yesterday. Absolutely astounding photo.
One of the comments mentioned that it would be difficult to get this with digital cameras, let alone a manual focus film camera with a 300mm lens. Seconded.

Of course the content of the image will gloss over any technical shortcomings . . . if there are any.

I have a framed 8x10 photo of me in the front seat of an aerobatic airplane 45 years ago or so. You can't really see me, I was too small to poke over the cockpit...

My father shot it with his Rollei 35mm SLR and what I think was a Vivitar 70-250; a big, early-70s tele-zoom. It's a great shot.

He is not a very good photographer, with no subtle skills, as evidenced by the bazillions of really bad shots he took, so we do have to allow for some large measure of just plain (or plane, I guess...) luck...

He does much better with his KS-2...

Right on my friend. BTW, MX is how I started with Pentax. I LOVED my MX until lit was stolen. I want my MX back and I would pay a premium if I can find one in a great shape.

I'm sure there are still many of these out there . .

This one not for sale though.

But being in the right place to make that shot is another matter altogether . . .

Well, I have two in my arsenal as things stand albeit silver and not that beautiful black...
