I guess it is but thought it was worth the investment. Only time shall see.
There are 2 reasons why i wont invest too much in filmdigitalising
I still use my 4 x 4 Bezeler enlarger, the black and white digital prints very seldom are of the same tonal quality as the analouge prints, and at least with my printer there is anwanted color cast

Developing roll film takes very little room. It could be done in a bathroom or closet. Bathroom is easier because of running water. IMHO, film developing is easier than scanning. Give it a try.
that may become a real possibility then....thanks barondla!

Well I ran a roll of LOMO 800 through my Pentax 67 and am very happy with the results, all images were exposed using the inbuilt exposure meter and over exposed 1 to 2 stops.

Here is a Lab scan un-edited.

Haha yeah, I probably should have said over exposed 1 to 2 stops seeing as I am using film.

Here are a few more images from my 5 rolls that I got developed.

Kodak Porta 400 shot at box speed and overexposed in camera.

LOMO CN 800 - I do like the look of this film stock (Kodak Gold???).

This next one pushed the LOMO's Dynamic range, I was trying to get the shadows exposed to see the sheep under the shed and not blow out the sky, impossible without a GND filter.

KODAK Portra 160 shot at box speed.

KODAK EKTAR 100 - Shot at box speed and Over Exposed 1 - 2 stops

It's also called +/- EV compensation. Many film cameras have a dial for it and even digital cameras have that feature. Those are good quality scans for a lab and the large quantity and image size of the pictures tests my internet connection bandwidth. It's not very good apparently.
