I didn't find a topic about repair tools, so I though I'd start one. I'm wondering if anyone know where I can get an oil syringe with a shutoff valve similar to what's pictured. I bought 2 of these from Micro-Tools 20+ years ago and I have one left. Micro-Tools no longer sells it and I can't find anything out there like it.

Yeah I see lots of plastic disposable syringes. The one I'm looking for has a built-in stopcock at the top so I can close it when not being used and the oil won't run out. Also, those with slip-on caps have the problem of the cap slipping off (especially when oil is in the syringe).

I use this 'precision oiler pen' from Lee Valley Tools. It works well.

LV is a Canadian company, but sells and ships internationally. Here is the US site: https://www.leevalley.com/en-us/shop/tools/workshop/tool-maintenance/43266-p...n?item=25K7002

I also got a cheap oil/lubricating pen off ebay - works pretty well, thin oil.

That I like. I've never seen one of those. I think I'll need to get one. Thanks.

The one I have I fill with Nye Oil I get from Micro-Tools. It's a thin watch oil.

Micro-tools has dip style oilers

Oiler, Swiss Style Dip Fine Blue | Micro-Tools

A large needle or bodkin works for me unless a large amount of oil is needed (almost never). You can get insulin syringes at most pharmacies in the US without prescription. Those work.

Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/bottles-stainless-needle-your-Oils/dp/B076YZY5ZK/ref=...4300224&sr=8-4

The "needle" bottle types you can sometimes find at gun shops.
