got my first slr

is something wrong if i cant see anthing in the vew fi nder when i cok the shutter

...you didn't force the lever to advance, did you?

you should definitely be able to see through the viewfinder, as the mirror should be in the down position...

after i realeas the shutter its fine i can see thrue but if then if i cock the advance lever the mirror gose up
