So, I should know this, but... (takumar on K mount question)

I have a Super Program, and an A 50mm F1.7.
I also have some Takumars and an official K mount adapter. I used to use these on my film MZ-5N.

I am having a memory block as to metering steps on the Super Program.

Form memory I can meter directly in Manual or Aperture priority (lens set to manual).

I don't think I need to do DOF/stop down metering, right?

I also can't use the auto setting on the Takumar, right?

Thanks!
Aaron

Meter stopped down.
Program and Shutter Priority AE modes cannot be used.

Download the user manual here:

To expand on the advice above, you must be stopped down to shoot or meter. In Av mode on your Super Program, the metering sort of takes care of itself as long as you are stopped down to shoot.

Perfect. Yeah that works. The securing clip on the M42 adapter has disappeared on me, but all else is well!
I really am surprised at how competent the Super Program is at all this (being the first "A" mount camera).
