UPDATE: Argh! Zombie thread! Just wanted to let everyone know that I now have my hands on a few rolls of Ektar 100. Lens & Shutter in Victoria had a dozen or so rolls in stock, maybe more. Not cheap stuff at $6 a roll, but we'll see how it turns out. Turns out they also stock everything you could ever want in film, just about everything currently on the market, including pro color films from Fuji and Kodak (Press, UltraColor, Ektar, Portra, Reala) and the full lineup of Ilford's offerings. They also have a full complement of darkroom chemicals and tools. I talked to a very nice fellow there who had a lot of positive things to say about film in general, and how at least they were going to stay in the business for some time yet as they are the sole supplier of darkroom materials for the Victoria high school district and UVic. I can get everything I need to do my own B&W for under $150, brand new, with all Ilford chemicals.  I'll have some pics hopefully next week for Ektar. | |
