Blue, thanks for the update. I'm still totally gassed with the idea of this project. It makes me smile every time I think about it and the photos speak for themselves. I guess I'm just looking for more.

Best,
Kevin

Blue, that's a very kind offer, but I'm going to take a pass. If you look back a page, it turns out I have my own SV to shoot. Better that someone have a crack at it that wouldn't have the opportunity to shoot an old(er) meterless camera otherwise. Earlier on in the process, Woof had offered me a shot at the SV. At the time, I turned him down owing to my inexperience with film cameras of any variety (nevermind ones w/out a built-in meter). I've been making up for lost time with a vengeance with my ME Super, K1000, and the ZX-5n (purchased from Woof). Now I've had an SV fall into my lap on top of everything else .

For sure I'll post to the "Show Us Your Film Shots" when I get my SV up and running. I have to find the time to send it off for CLA with Erik and the shutter looks like it needs a little work, too.

Best,
Kevin

I can't believe I missed this thread until now...great idea! Count me in as long as woof doesn't mind it being away from home for a little longer and it's not too late? I've seen a few of the pics in the thread....great shots....hard to match .

I don't see a problem fitting you in between Straightshooter and Woof.

Blue, since my first SLR about (mumble mumble) years ago was a SV, keep me last on the list before the S.S. goes home.

Another bump...

I am a little concerned about this project. I posted the last pictures here and on Flickr in July and have yet to see any more contributions. I understand that monochrome had some issues with unacceptably soft results and there was some discussion as to whether there might be pressure plate/film door issues.

MJB, are you able to give an update on the sightseer's status/health, whether you are going to post photos, and whether the camera has been sent on?

Using Profile infomration from PF as well as Google stuff I have emailed him at personal and work email (from his website) and called to leave a message. His last post to the Forum was 09-18.

I'll try contacting him again.
