Heh, I'm on the list. This will be fun.

BTW, for those having trouble posting pics from flikcr or picasa: use this and like magic everything works!

Hi,

With mixed emotions, the Sightseer was shipped today. I was not able to do a fourth roll since I was working out of town most of the week. Last night, I took it to my shop and had my last few minutes alone with her....
The camera I mean
I cleaned it up a bit before carefully packaging it. The light meter and the user manual just came for the ride. I put them back in separate ziplock plastic bags.

This is the last light it saw in sunny Puerto Rico:

To say this was a great experience is an understatement. It gave me the motivation to freshen up all my old film bodies and have fun with them again.

Thanks and LONG LIVE THE SIGHTSEER!

The sightseer arrived yesterday... so this morning I pressed it into camera porn service - had the Tamron 52bb with extension tube, the Micro-Nikkor 55/3.5 with extension tube, and the Macro-Takumar 50/4 which doesn't need a tube. They all work beautifully, and I won't pick a favorite!

Anyway, the SV porn:

First is the 52bb @f/11, the next two are the Macro-Tak @ f/8.

Even without the music, the effect is still the same...

Now why didn't I think of taking those shots when I had the camera? They're beautifully done!

I think we can fit you in following Nesster if you are willing to post some images. We have the flickr SightSeer group setup also.

I'd take my oldest film camera (whatever that will be at the time) and the SV shooting together and compare them if the SV came through again!

Blue, the camera is yours, but if you are agreeable, why not organize another round and let old hands try again?

On the other hand I might just be convinced to send through an H2 with some older Auto-Takumar glass for anyone interested in that sort of thing.

woof!
