Does this mean that the sightseer has resurfaced?

It never disappeared. It just got to the point no one on the list wanted a go at it. It seems that Pioneer is going to forward it to Monochrome to have a go at it. I am going to generate a new list.

Oh dear. The pressure is on. Then again, (weak) fall colors time.

Cool! I won't be taking a turn (have my own SV now), but very much enjoyed my time with the Siteseer.

The Sightseer has arrived in St. Louis in fabulous shape. I had forgotten there is an Operating Manual included. That's actually pretty thrilling! I have plenty of ideas as I go about my daily activities for views of St. Louis (and the Chicago River Monday and Tuesday) to show the Forum over the next couple weeks. Portra on the way and TMAX from my crisper.

Subbed this, really cool idea!

I think I'm a bit on the wrong continent though to have a go myself, unless I come on holidays sometime!

Ask Blue (keeper of the List) whether the Sightseer can make a trip. You'd maybe need to arrange a few more users on your tectonic plate, to justify the shipping, before it would come back.

A "European tour" would be quite cool ... maybe some day

The sightseer is a great camera, it's what got me shooting meterless.
Unfortunately I think I was part of the reason it came to a grinding halt, I was seduced by nikon (film) and fuji (digital) and stopped checking in here.

It's good to see it going around again, shooting with it is a great experience.

Hopefully it'll continue its tour. If it would be helpful I have an old preset 105mm (Petri Orikkor, unfortunately not a Takumar) that I'd be willing to send off to join it. That lens is from the same era, and right now only collecting dust.

So reporting in - broke out a roll of 400TX from the crisper and its warning on the counter. I also found a roll of dated MAX 800GT. I wasn't going to use that but I might just spool it up anyway if there are good fall colors.

Traveling to Chicago tomorrow through Thursday, but it's business and I probably won't be anywhere outside while the sun is up. At least I'm staying on S. Wacker so the river and the lake are nearby. I think I'll take my K-01/40XS and use it as a meter, just for grins.

I put a roll of Fuji Superia 200 through it the day before I took it to the mailbox. Sent it off for developing and waiting for the negatives to come back.
