Retry for you

Copied links and pasted to this reply using the image link tool. The little white box with the orange dot in the upper right (head shot) is the image linking tool. It should call a description when you mouse over it. Paste your Flickr embed link inito the dialog box to link the photo.

Well Done!

For the amount of contrast in #1 I am amazed there seems to be no PF. 1 and 2 are both very sharp, if 2 is a bit underexposed. I blew the highlights in every one of my shots, but they were all of steam locomotives - pure white against pure black, so that's not surprising. My first roll was Ektar 100 and all were slightly OOF - at the time I thought there was a problem with the new light seals bowing the film back, but obviously that was user error, unless the sepia tone in the very center of #2 is a light leak (I don't think so).

Sein06231, thanks for posting your pics and for being so persistent in getting them up here; a lesser man would have given up. Hope you had a good time with the Sightseer. The photos really make this thread. Guess we're back to winter after Ismaelg's February warmup <g>.

Best,
Kevin

For the third roll I just went relax. Took the camera with us for a family weekend visiting grandparents. Again, only Sunny 16 rule.
Sadly, I'm so disappointed at the local scanning service.

I take security very seriously and I am not taking any chances with the sightseer. So I hired a Jedi as protection.

Around the yard

cousins

banana anyone? well, you have to wait a few more days.....

Again, the Rexatar 200mm m42 proved to be very good.

From the street

With the SuperTak at the shore

and with the the 200mm

The scanning is so disappointing that I'm not sure if I'll go thru a fourth roll before sending the Sightseer on its way to the next stop. They don't make justice to this fine piece of mechanical jewelry....

Thanks,

Ismael, by all means, shoot the fourth roll. We've got a snow storm coming in tonight (small one) and I'm needing the hope of warm weather that your shots provide <g>. Couple of those scans are a little sketchy (dust on the last one is pretty egregious), but in the grand scheme of things, for web use they are fine. Again, really nice to see what the SV can do. I'm impressed with your metering of the top of your squash - think I mentioned the time I tried to do that I ended up with a blank roll of film .

Glad to see you're taking good care of the SV - the Jedi security force looks pretty fierce.

Best,
Kevin
