These are pretty common batteries and may be found in your local drugstore or department store. Look for LR44, A76, AG13 designations (in addition to 357) for the alkaline version.

I recently bought one in a supermarket ... I was looking for A76, but found a 76A, and it is working fine also. LR44 is also a good option, I just bought two of these for my Super Program.

I bought 2 from batteries.com. The light meter still works on the k1000
I havent used it in about 12 years.

As other have said, you need a single LR44 button cell. You can get them from eBay for small change.

What you need to remember with the K1000 also is that there is no switch with which to turn the light meter off. instead, always keep the lens cap on when not in use as it will just continue to meter the inside of your ERC or bag until it goes flat.

A battery should last you a good number of years as long as you remember to replace the cap after use.
