Saw this on Ebay, a 110 film SLR from the great one. Anyone remember it? I sure don't.

Ooh yes, that's an adorable little cam. It's the real deal. There were two versions made, none of them really popular; which is why it was discontinued.

A classic of sorts

If memory serves, it's the smallest SLR system ever made. They pop up on the craigslist and what not from time to time and have a few dedicated fans: Pentax 110

Guys, thanks for the quick responses, I paid $130 back in 1972 for a then top of the line Kodak Pocket Instamatic 60 with an Ektar 2.8 lens with shot great pictures only a tiny negative to work with, in fact I can't remember any lab that would make prints larger than 8 X 10 back then, thanks for all the links, it's a fun read, love the "Safari" version of it

This is the camera I always wanted to have, I asked my dad for it in the early 80s.
It is a great camera, but 110 film is not easy to find.

Ahhh...the Pentax 110...what a perfect little camera. I rented a Pentax 6 X 7 once and the store owner and I were talking about Pentaxes wide range of format...110...35 mm...6 X 7. He pulled out the little Pentax 110 (black-all of them were, I think), a 35 mm black MX and placed them by my rented 6 X 7....what an odd array...tiny, small and XXX- Large.

If you want a vintage experience, you should totally pick one up. Kodak still makes 110 film in the 400 speed, and you can send it to a specialty lab for processing, usually in major cities (we send ours to Vancouver). It's $5 a cartridge at my work right now for this stuff. The sad thing is the size of the negatives.... they're ridiculously tiny. You won't get much more than 6x8s out of them that look half decent, and even at 4x6, a 35mm camera has a noticeable edge in detail.

Regardless of all that, they're fun little cameras to play with. And, like others mentioned, THE smallest SLR system ever created.

When you look through the viewfinder of the 110 I think we all would feel ashamed. So large! So bright! And for such a little camera...

That's great! According to Pentax 110 Lenses a 24 mm lens on 110 is rougly equivalent to a 50 on 135 so that would mean these are a near perfect fit for the µ4/3 system with its 2 × crop factor if I understand things correctly..? Very cool. Nice to know these lenses won't be useless orphans when they inevitably stop making 110 film.
