I just checked out your Flickr set. Nice collection of old ads. I especially like the last two, Yashica Electro 35 followed by the Honeywell Spotmatic. That's exactly the progression I followed back in my high school days. I've been Pentax ever since.

I found the Adaptamatic Ad pretty interesting also since I have a couple of those! (21mm & 135mm)

What an awesome ad ... and to think nearly 40 years later I have the same sitting at home in "Like New" condition.

That is a great ad! If Pentax had any sense they would bring it back because that "feel" is exactly why I bought the K10D on the spot after I picked it up and used it in the store.

Mine is not in "like new" condition but still working.

That's my first SLR!! Exactly!! Spotmatic w/ 50mm f1.4 - bought mine in early 1969 from the Navy Exchange in Rota Spain and I've not let go since.
