One question:

As i don't know anything about Pentax film slr (I only use a 6x7) I was wondering if there was a Pentax ""equivalent"" to the Nikon F5 ?

Thanks

no

but if you can live with slower fps, slower max shutter (1/4000 or 1/6000) and slower sync speed, then there are plenty of options...

Like which, please tell me!

But still I would be missing that 17-35mm I am dreaming of, not that I love zooms, but this one, I could use....

this is a good read:

https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-film-slr-discussion/44525-hands-co...6-vs-mz-s.html

you can also buy the *isT , the last of pentax's film cameras.

also no pentax doesnt bother making their cameras with vertical grips, those are always sold as accessories.

the most modern body would be the MZ-S. the most "advanced" is probably the PZ-1P w/ the faster shutter and on board aperture control, 4 fps, etc.

i'm pretty sure that no Pentax body ever has the AF remotely close to the F5 and and the F5 is built really tough.

sounds like you should get the F5/6 and a Nikkor 17-35

I didn't say "the best" I said what would be best for me, for my needs...

As for AF, that's for sure it was never their main concern.
