A VERY good day for me

When I got home from school today, I had two big surprises waiting for me:

One was a box from a certain Eric Hendrickson. Inside it was my KX.

This thing... is incredible. The meter works fabulously. The loose film speed dial is nice n' tight now. It's got a new, clean control dial. The back was replaced. Big dents on the top and bottom covers are gone. Black enamel from the shot counter and film dial that were worn off from an old strap was replaced. Seals, of course. Shutter speeds just right.

This thing is amazing. The finest camera I've ever held in my life. Eric does truly spectacular work. If you have a vintage Pentax that you love and that hasn't been to Eric yet, do it now. You won't regret it for a second.

Oh, and the second surprise? My acceptance letter from Clemson University!!

I am one very happy camper right now.

My guess is from unrepairable bodies with otherwise useable parts. And remember that there's a great deal of commonality between Pentax bodies--usually. All the exterior parts that were replaced on my KX are unique to that body, so I dunno.

Congrats on both! Good to hear about that college acceptance letter. Education is always a good thing.

So, you're going to be a Tiger? Congratulations!!

Be sure to get a shot of the Tigers lining up to pound The Rock in "Death Valley" this fall.

I am assuming the Rock is still there. The Tiger's luck has been minimal since the Danny Ford years.
