How many K1000's are there??

Coincidentally the sample image from the AOHC website referenced in the previous reply has the bump.

Another small observation--in addition to top-deck serial number it looks like the earlier model had the hotshoe 'X' painted orange while the late model did not.

Here is what I have:
1-Engraved on back of top cover: Asahi Optical Co.Japan with serial # on top cover
2- engraved on bottom: Assembled in Hong Kong with serial #on bottom

Can anyone add to this with additional info??

I have 2 versions of K1000 of the above 1 & 2 discription.

1) The battery cap has the words engraved "BATTERY-OPEN"
2) It is a plain battrey cap.
