Fuji Neopan 400 pushed to 1000

this is my favorite BW film so far, IMO better than Tri-X, but then again a bit more expensive (although i bought mine in russia and i think it came out to 5 bucks a roll)

definetly better than the Ilfords and such.

i do not know which chemicals or procedure was used to develop it

i gave it to a local low-key shop (El Pro, Toronto) and told them to punch it as iso 1000

no flash in a somewhat well lit room with the FA43 (this lens really shines on film fo sho)

this was with flash inside a bar using a Super Takumar 50 F1.4, pay close attention to the 3rd picture

same bar, no flash

Beautiful. Aye, it nearly tops Tri-X for me, too.

Then tones are just amazingly delicate.

Who's the lady in the first two shots?

Bullsh*t. She's too good looking to be a supermodel.

i think neopan is supposed to be a bit smoother than tri-x that is more contrasty and grainy? was thinking of making the switch to neopan too after my tri-x is done.

Freestyle now has some Arista Legacy Pro 400 film that's "Made in Japan". most people seem to think it should be Fuji Neopan 400.

I will be giving Neopan a try too. These are fine shots. I prefer the ones without flash. She is very pretty, the girl in the first pictures
