Wow, that Velvia sure is intense.

Kevin, I think you got a great lens there, I'm looking forward to the results. I compared it to the tests of a couple of other 135's - it completely beat the Rikenon XR, and though they slanted their review very obviously for the Leica, I'd say the Hoya is at least its equal. The Pentax M suffered from lateral color even in the slides, and did not get quite the same resolution and contrast as the Hoya.

---

Here's something from the 1937 Certo Super Sport Dolly with its uncoated Xenar 2.8 75mm lens... Fuji 160NPS expired. I posted pics of the camera in the beater thread here in the film section...

Again with the MF posts...OK, so I have another camera to google . Actually good to know as my dad was born in 1937 (the year the Hindenburg went down). (Tough to find a pic of this beast on the net; lot of pics shot with it, but precious few of it <g>.

***Just saw your post on "Bruised and Battered" thread; page prolly came up in the search, but when I saw your name, I assumed (there's that word again) they were pics shot w/camera. Nice to see what it looks like, nicer to see the pics taken with it ***

Back to the Hoya 135 for a second; I'm looking forward to pics shot with it, too. Thought I could knock out the six or so remaining frames today and never got the chance. Hope springs eternal, and maybe I can knock them out tomorrow.

I'm much heartened by your posts Nesster, and hopefully my copy is in good order.

Thanks for sharing the info and the Certo post - I'll look forward to more.

Best,
Kevin

New to me silver(champagne really) MZ-S. SMC-A 50mm 1.7.

The film is... well kinda a mystery. The box, canister, and receipt said Fuji Pro 160S, but the negatives say Pro 160C. I'd say they look like 160C, but I'm really not sure how a film could have got switched at the factory, especially a pro film.

Waiting for some 120 Fuji 160S to come back, but here's one from our first snowfall this fall. Ilford HP5+, Bronica ETRS w/ PE 50mm 2.8

Thinking of making a few prints from a 16:9 crop I did.

wow.
that's great, although (i think) it would be definitely better to see it as a print instead of a jpg on the web.

AGFA APX 400 gives you good results - I like the series though #5 isn't up to the rest for me. I have some also expired in 120 size, will have to shoot it soon.

There's an Navy barracks in San Diego, CA that looks just like that second shot mentioned, Swift1.

Nice shots.

Fixinater,
both those were taken at the old navy barracks in San Diego, I can't remember the name though.

I see I've been missing some nice shots in here
Especially impressed with page 104, almost every picture on that whole page is excellent!

I'll soon be joining the film fun with a Pentax again.
I just replaced my broken Me Super with a minty:

Spotmatic SPII
Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 28/3.5
Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 35/3.5
Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 135/3.5
SMC Takumar 50/1.4

All in great condition, barely any signs of use!
Can't wait for some nice weather to give it a test run. It's been raining cats and dogs here.

Zeiss Ikon Ikonta 520/2 folder, Rollei Retro 100 developed in Diafine.
