Tried my first roll of Ilford Delta 400 last week. I really like it.

Easytiger, I'm not going to let these go by unremarked. Every time you post something, I mean to comment positively (even on the donkey with a hat that is now sadly missing from your flikr page; speaking of which, I liked that one a lot - gave a much needed laugh) and then somebody else posts some photos and I figure it's too late to say anything. Not this time: Ilford Delta 400 looks great and I really like the composition in the third photo; angle on the boat is perfect and the lines behind it create an interesting grid - a series of parallel lines to nowhere.

Best,
Kevin

These are fantastic (as usual from you, but no harm in more praise). How do you develop the film?

I especially like the perspective on this one.

I agree, fantastic shots. How do you develop them? Inquiring minds want to know. : )

Whoa, thanks for the compliments. I'm so pleased that Donkey with Hat had such a warm reception. Here he is again, in all his pimped-out glory:

jzeitman and Vertex Ninja - I just send my film out to a local lab in Hong Kong, since I have no idea what I'm doing. Never set foot in a darkroom. I think they do a nice job (big, dust-free scans at 20MB), but I'd really like learn how to develop and print on my own.

On another note, my second round of Holga shots came back yesterday. I'm not sure what to make of the camera - it's extremely hard to compose, and any architectural shots betray crazy amounts of distortion (among other things). I do like the film though - Ilford Delta 100.

(approx. f/11, 8 seconds, polarizer)

(approx. f/8, 8 seconds)

LOL - those distortitions etc are the whole point of a Holga. Squares are different to compose, for me it seems when I have a rectangle I wish for a square, and vice versa

Nice holgas - Delta 100 is really nice in 120. Here's a sample of Delta 100 in a Yashica Mat 124G, developed in Ilfosol 3.

Easytiger, good luck with that Holga - I look at those long exposure times and marvel; I've never done much with longer exposures...might be time to try a few out.

Nesster, glad you liked the Hoya 135 shots. Love the lion - coincidentally, I finally checked out your flikr pages last night and saw it there. From the looks of things, you know your way around a cemetery, too <g>. Great (and interesting) pics all the way 'round and there are a lot of them . It's going to take a couple of visits to see all those gems. The ones you post here are only the tip of the iceberg.

Best,
Kevin

Went to a small village w/ some Pentaxians over the past weekend, shot a roll of Fujifilm Reala 100 w/ my LX and Jay's K35/3.5 lens, pretty happy w/ some of the results. Here are some to share:

Great shots Frank. The colors are great. I'll have to try out some Reala.

Thanks Swift1 I quite like the results from Reala too. Don't think I'd go back to Kodak Gold 100 anymore.
