Konica, Minolta, etc. mount to Pentax K - How to save the old lenses - PentaxForums.com
Yes. I do know. But I have chosen to stop knowing.

I knew of the register distance issue with these and was dismayed to learn about it, but surgery isn't something I can get behind.

Indeed, I nearly went away with a T4 and four lenses, but stopped paying attn to the auction. I'm glad actually. The psychotic episode passed in the meantime.

(Besides I'm currently up to 5 compact RFs by Konica including the EF from my granddad, 2 with fast glass and most of which I got for pennies... I'll be selling at least 2 of them, but they sure are neat little buggers.)

a lot of beaches on the Jersey shore had similar looking towers for life guards to sit. That one doesn't seem to have much of a place to sit..

I reckon it's the mast of a sailing dinghy.

No... This is wilderness coastline. The road there was an FS access road only a jeep could make through. Since the 70s there are no roads out there. It's sort of the anti-Jersey-shore.

I've never seen anyone launch anything other than surfboard anywhere along this stretch of coast. It's a rather violent coastline, in many ways. Saling inland in Puget sound absolutely, but out there is not a good idea.

Cape Alava? Shi-shi?

It looks like some sort of signaling/flag tower. UPS YES?

Edit: Place to hang your food bag?

Shi Shi. Tide marker of some kind? I'm seriously stumped.

Actually...I know you're joking but I’ve been using an iPhone app called PhotoExif. It lets me record exif data—camera, lens, ISO, aperture, shutter speed, location, and it even inserts film type in a comment field. It’s useful to have, but if you scan you can either use a Mac app to automatically attach the info to the scanned image, or if you’re on windows you can export a text file (csv) that you can use to add the data manually.

I've been tempted to go that route, and if I shot more film, I probably would.

That or buy a Minolta 7xi or whichever one has the expansion card that does that... but then how would I read it on the computer without a serial port?

I routinely write EXIF to my scanned images using ExifTool, no smart phone required.

Oooh. That's not bad. That's not bad at all, though it's be a very strange place for it - middle of a 4 miles beach *between* to very rocky points with sea stacks at either end. (Google "Point of the Arches")

There IS a hulking shipwreck just one or two points up the coast.

Pretty area, reminds me of the west coast of Vancouver Island. (Tofino)

They had all sort of weird things along that coast for everything up to and including the Tsunami warning systems.
