My first try at using a slide copier to copy a negative. I got an excellent condition Auto Bellows M from B&H last week and a near mint slide copier from ebay that arrived today. I figured that I'd save money over getting crappy scans done at by whichever processing place I used, and prefer it over a scanner.
This was the only negative on a roll of Fuji Superia 400, I believe, that actually came out. It was probably taken about 5 years ago with a ZX10 and Tamron 28-300mm, and not processed until about a month ago. It's not the best picture but I just wanted to show of the fruit of my labor. Plus, I'm pretty excited about my new setup.
The negative was copied using a K-7, Auto Bellows M, Slide Copier K, and M 50mm 1.4 at f8. Imported into Lightroom, exported as a non-compressed TIFF, imported into GIMP where the orange cast was removed and the color was inverted, and auto white balance applied. The AWB worked very well I think.
Anyway, considering how much I just wrote the photo should probably be better, but here it is anyway.
