That definitely works...doorbreaker sale going on, I'd say.

That abstract stony looking picture
I do like this one. It works from the perspectives of composition, tones, color and (of course) texture.

I picked up a bunch of rolls of expired Elitechrome a while back. Figuring that expired slide film was the only type of slide film I'd trust in either of my Contaxes, I ran a roll through. Should probably have given it an extra 2/3 to full stop most of the time, but otherwise good; any screw ups in the pictures were the result of me not holding the camera still enough or not properly accounting for parallax, rather than the shutter being of unknown quality.

Photos 1 & 2 were taken with an uncoated Contax I era Sonnar 50/1.5. Photo 3 was taken with an uncoated Contax II era collapsible Sonnar 50/2. (It's somewhat remarkable how little difference there is in size between the rigid 50/2 and the collapsible 50/2 even when the latter is collapsed.)

And yes, the 50/1.5 does vignette fairly noticeably.

Contax II.
Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar 5cm f1.5 (Photos #1 & 2) / Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar 5cm f2 (Photo #3).
Kodak Elitechrome 100 (expired).

Nice work Andrew.

I recently found a somewhat rare Canon 50/2.2 ltm lens for use on my Canon 7. Apparently this lens was only produced for about 6 months in 1961, and was only ever sold in Japan, so there very little info out there about it.

Here's one of my test shots from the lens, shot wide open at near minimum focus distance.

There's nothing wrong with that lens that I can see, nice composition. I have always thought that Fuji's colours were more accurate than Kodaks, but that might be because our somewhat damp and usually kind of soggy climate has - I think - the effect of muting colours.

Thanks.
There are so many variables that can affect color that it's hard to say. One of the great things about film is, if you want a different look, you just load different film, and I personally feel that there's no such thing as bad film

Another one from one of the rolls that was recorded in the notebook I lost. It was definitely shot on a TLR, and looking at the corners I'd say it was one with a triplet lens. Since I don't recall using my Flexaret II lately, by process of elimination that means it must have been my Yashicaflex.

The rebadged Tri-Lauser on it isn't a bad lens in the centre, but care definitely has to be taken if you're pushing things into the corners and haven't stopped down. This was probably around f4 based on the light and the corners.

For comparison, this one I recall having to stop down to at least f11 in order to keep from blowing the exposure. The corners show nothing to complain about at all. (As expected from the lenses, my triplet TLRs also provide a bargain selection of shutter speeds. )

Yashicaflex A.
Yashimar 80mm f3.5
Fujichrome Provia 100F.

Finishing off a film often means bothering the flowers with a macro lens:

Any film with excessive curl is bad.

OK...that does it. I have several cameras with partially finished rolls languishing on the shelf and each of them begging to have a go at doing the shopping cart thing. This should be easy. The local ditches have an abundance of carts.

They really are evocative creatures. I was shooting something for a book I'm planning, and they just kind of wrestled themselves in there...they work with the book's idea, too, so I'm still on the hunt for them.
