Here are a couple that show that the best camera is the camera you have with you. These were shot on a little plastic point and shoot camera I picked up in a pawn shop in a fishing village on an island south of Korea's mainland. I was on a bicycling trip and I stupidly thought that "lugging" the SLR in my bike bags would be too much trouble. I don't remember the brand of camera--maybe Fuji? I paid about $20 for it.

Unkabin, those are great shots from the P&S.

Here's one I took last year,

Minolta 303si Super, Sigma 17-35 on Fuji Superia 200

Swift1, nice shot of a beautiful dog. Looks like it was nearer the 17 than the 35. What breed(s) is he that gives him that beautiful brindle coat?

P.S. Nice to see a Minolta shooter. An XE-7 is my main film camera. Pentax is my digital format.

Thanks unkabin. We got her from the Humane Society. We don't really know what breed she is, but we think she's a Plott Hound.

The darkness around here is brutal this time of year, coupled with drizzly or overcast weather. These are long exposures with an Olympus XA and Tri-X 400.

The next two were taken with a Yashica GSN and Agfa Vista 200. I feel like that camera does not make taking decent photos easy.

I picked up my first roll 2 rolls of Fuji Pro 400H from a new developer today. The colours on the prints are great; the lab's scans aren't perfect but they're acceptable. Most of the photos were from a wedding so I tried a place with better (but more expensive) processing than I can get locally.

Thank you for the welcome and nice comments on my photos.

kolista2, those are great! Nice tones and feel to them.

brkl, I love the black and whites...very moody and evocative. The color ones are good too, you can't tell the camera is hard to deal with.

Steinback, the colors in those are amazing. The portraits are lovely.

Well, no, not after I straightened the horizon you can't! Thanks!

Terrific mood there, Nesster. How do you like Fomapan 400? I've ordered some 120.

Thanks - the 400 is a nice old fashioned ASA 400 film, with nice tone and grain. I have a couple in 120 size as well, will shoot soon. I shot the Foma 100 at 400 in a 35mm camera and it came out just great, maybe better than the Foma 400.

Here's another Foma 400, the Electro-X has stepless shutter speeds below 1/15 - I shot wide open and somewhere between 1/15 and 1/8, wide open with the DS-M 50/1.7. Hand held of course
