Those blues!!! Velvia and a polarizer can sometimes be over the top, but I really like it in those shots.

I haven't posted anything in a while, and this is my first time posting in this forum, but I'll add a few. These are from a recent trip to Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales. I used a Tamron 28-200mm as a walk-around lens. I think I'll need to make another trip there, but take some of my sharper primes next time.

Finally learned to develop B&W.

This was my first roll ever, so mostly just some snapshots so I didn't ruin anything important.
MZ-S, 43mm limited, Fuji Neopan 400

Below: couples rolls of undeveloped b&w I've had sitting in my freezer for the last couple years.

Bronica RF645, 65mm f4.0, Yellow filter, Fuji Acros

Bronica RF645, Ilford Delta 100

Thanks Steve! I used HC-110 diluted to 1:64(unofficial H), 20-21.5c, time varies with film and temp but are all pretty much straight from digital truths massive dev chart. Usually 8.5-12 min. I probably screwed something up being a virgin and all, but I was pretty happy with how they turned out.

I scan in color with my Creo Eversmart Jazz+. Then run a couple photoshop actions I've setup. Mostly levels, channel mixer, curves, and a little capture sharpening.

I can tell I'm really gonna enjoy this B&W stuff, something about developing yourself makes the images more special.

Congratulations - that's fantastic first time work. Don't worry, in the next few rolls I'm sure something will screw up

You have a Creo Eversmart Jazz+???

That is not exactly a hobbyist machine, IIRC.

Yeah, it's a beast! Quality is not really any better than my old Coolscan V, in some ways worse, but it can scan anything up to 12"x18" at full dpi.

Finally managed to finish up a roll of Ultramax 400 and post the first shots taken with my "new" Tokina 80-200mm f/4. It came as part of a Craigslist score of two bodies (ME Super, K1000) and four lenses (M28 f/3.5, M50 f/2, Hoya 135 f/2.8, and this Tokina 80-200 f/4) for the princely sum of $100 US.

As it turns out, all the lenses are first rate. I've posted samples from the others earlier in this thread. Nesster was kind enough to provide a Modern Photography review of the Hoya 135 and my copy more than lives up to it.

OK, here's the Tokina 80-200 f/4 on my trusty ME Super at various focal lengths...

Happy Thanksgiving to all,
Kevin
