Well, the roll I got back from the lab today was pretty bad. Grody colours, all around bad photographs...they all look "cheap", not what I'd expect from Portra 400. I guess they can't all be winners.

BUT I used my flash for the first time and it worked how I wanted, so that's good:

This one of your more interesting photographs. I see no problem with the colors.

Conparison shopping, taken with my iPhone and probably my K-30’s last hurrah. It’s almost criminal how much better the LX’s viewfinder is...

Yeah, this one turned out pretty much how I wanted it. I quite like the TTL Auto function on the flash I used.

The colours on the stuff I took outside are a bit wonkier, way warmer than I expected, with the greens looking especially gungy. It was around sunset but the natural light wasn't that red...maybe I missed golden hour by a bit. I'll end up posting more of that stuff, most likely.

@skierd The LX viewfinder is a miracle. Bright, clear, and the all the displayed info isn't distracting. Mine was in perfect shape until I saw a bug crawling on my focussing screen. Stupid me squashed it, and now there is a big smear of but guts I get to look at every time I compose a shot, so that'll have to get cleaned at some point.

Those screens come out, so it shouldn’t be too horrible to debug your screen, in a manner of speaking 🙂

But that’s one of the things I love about the MX as well, that huge focusing screen.

Haha, yeah, but from what I've been reading on the internet I am TERRIFIED of cleaning it myself. Apparently it takes very little to scratch the screen beyond repair. Maybe it's not as bad as all that but still.

Also, question for the thread, what kind of links are kosher here? I ask because I just finished a zine and want to share it here but it lives in Google Drive, so I've just been sharing links.

Thanks, I have been shooting it @100 ISO and that's about as good as it gets. I bought 10 rolls of the Agfachrome from a forum member and use it for testing new to me film cameras.
