Great shot and very detailed/sharp--curious to know your lens and film.

Thank you!

All my 35mm color shots are Superia 400.

Lens I'm a bit unsure, near as I can judge the perspective, I would guess the supertak 50/1.4, but DOF suggests a WA, so that would be the elicar 35/2.8 (this was shot last fall at Warden Woods municipal park in Scarborough, ON, and I'm pretty sure those were the two lenses I brought to the party).

From my last & final roll of Velvia 100, Will most likely never shoot Velvia again in 135, since Kodak E100 is back.

You just like Ektachrome that much better?

I've never really been a fan of Velvia 50 or 100 ISO. The only Fuji slide film I liked was Provia 400x and that's been discontinued.

Provia 100F was ok, but yes I like E100 better.

So now there is no E6 development in Ottawa. That really makes it problematic to shoot slide film. I've sent it out for development, but for some reason the place in Montreal insists on using xpress post, which makes shipping costs pretty expensive. On top of the already expensive Ektachrome... I think the only way is to shoot, store, and send a whole bunch at once... Or home development.

It might be cheaper if you have multiple rolls of E6, to send it to Dwayne's in Kansas. I've used them in the past to do my Kodachrome slides, they also sell film and Ektachome may be cheaper than your local stores.

I do kind of laugh at you guys complaining that you don't have local development for E-6.

Most people don't have local development for anything (and haven't' for decades), so its either the mail or home development for us...

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

you are right, but we went down from three E6 places to zero in the last 2 years...

We still have one in lab Vancouver that does E6, just a couple minutes from where I live.

I'm one of their best "positive" customers.....

I'm thinking of getting into home development for E6 (I have C41 locally), since it's either a two hour drive to Winnipeg or 36 bucks a roll to MAIL it to Winnipeg from my local photo place, which is pretty much just as expensive.

Might also be a bit safer, since E6 development is likely not as robust a market, and I plan on shooting much more of it when I finally get my teaching certificate and get a job (or an art grant...more on that later)

Hi all, I've been lurking around on here for a little while now, after a hiatus of many years...
Finally have gotten back into photography about 6 months ago and now shooting almost entirely film.
Using the Pentax LX and MX aswell as a Fuji GSW690II for medium format stuff. Unfortunately I sold my Pentax 67 that I had years ago. Still regret that!

Hey old friend, it's great to see you back here. Good to see that you're shooting film again. And very cool photo!
