I really like the leading lines and the framing with the trees in your pic, Colton. Nice.

I posted the same image in B/W a while back, but I had it rescanned and actually like the colours now. A good scanner seems to make a big difference! I brightened the shadows a little bit, otherwise straight from scan.

Well, since I sold my Pentax 6x7 last week, I figure it'd be good to show one of the first pictures I took on it that satisfied me in some way:

Why did you sell the 6x7?
I sold my 67 back in 2013. Still regret it :'( and still don't have a good replacement for it.

I didn't use it very much, felt like I needed a different setup for 6x7. Moving on to the RB67.

I recently scanned a roll of Bergger Pancro and I don't like the results... I shot the roll on my LX with a variety of lenses, mostly Helios 40, Primoplan 58 f1.9, and the 43 limited. The whole roll is pretty grainy and not very sharp. A lot of them look like some impressionist paintings. A lot of these photos were shot wide open, but I don't know if that's what explains it. This is the first roll of Bergger I shot in the 135 format, but my 120 results are nothing like this. Here is a sample. This was taken with the Primoplan.
That is disappointing and may explain why their film has been absent from the market for a very long time.

That's a big camera for the format with great features. It looks like one that is more at home in the studio than out in the field.

thats the initial feeling I had when I was deciding. I ended up with the Pentax, and I don't shoot it as much as I'd like because of its size. I'd love to try the Bronica GS-1 as its one of the smaller 6x7 SLRs. There is someone on photrio selling a almost complete GS-1 kit (3 cameras, about 8 lenses, and a bunch of backs.) Its a good deal, but I need another system like a hole in the head.

I plan on doing more studio work anyways, so I don't mind how big and heavy it is. I'm looking for a challenge and really feeling the process, so I think it'll work out. Plus, that rotating back and the lenses are pretty smexy.

Still, I can take it out in the field, too. I don't mind using a tripod.
