I'm really annoyed (and by annoyed I mean jealous) that you seem incapable of taking a bad photo with this camera...

But I will say I can't un-see that this photo is really the dog on the beach thinking about his person...
I can't put the person on the beach... only floating above the dog...
It's messing with my head

Yeah, now that you've pointed it out, it kinda messes with my head, too! Now I don't want the person to be real, only the dog's "thought". The expression on the dog's face is great, too.

I had to go back and have another look. I didn't notice the person the first time

Haha I take plenty, I just don't share them with you lot But seriously, it's a fairly forgiving camera. Tons of depth of field (and big negs), so focus isn't critical, Leaf shutter, so camera shake isn't an issue above 1/15. If you like, it can be shot as a glorified P&S...

Lol I see it now. To be fair, that is the dog's (Dusty) human (my wife)... I'd like to think he spends his time gazing out to sea, thinking about us

I have been collecting (hoarding?) film for years Usually, if I find something for a good price on ebay, if it's uncommon or interesting film, then I might buy it. I usually won't pay over $2.50/roll though. There is a ton of expired film on ebay with ludicrous asking prices. Expired film can be fun, but it's never (IMO) worth spending more than fresh film stock.
I also try to keep a decent stock of fresh film, especially certain films like Ektar and Portra. The image I just posted came from a batch of 3 pro-packs of Portra 160 that I bought in 2013. I guess it's technically expired film, but I think of that stuff as basically fresh film.
People will also give me old film. Over the years I've probably been given over 100 rolls.
Last time I checked, my freezer had around 350 rolls of film

That's what puzzles me. Most of the expired stuff I see locally is selling for the same/more than new stock, even when it's current emulsions (Portra and Tmax for instance).

Ya, it baffles me that anyone would pay more for expired film when the same film is available new for less.

That's an impressive collection Colton. Are there any rolls in particular that you're looking forward to shooting or are there any particularly obscure rolls that you're saving up?
