@ Swift1: Nice!

Shot with my new (second hand) medium format Fuji G690BL rangefinder. Rollei Retro 100 developed in Rodinal 1:50

This camera has a very sharp lens and in combination with a 6x9 negative it yields incredibly high resolution images. It is nicknamed "The Texas Leica". I haven't yet found a way to make a picture of this camera that gives an accurate impression of how big it really is. Before I bought it I had seen a load of pictures of it but I still broke out in a kind of shocked giggle when I opened the box and got a real impression of the size of this beast:

Some more examples with the Kodak Elitechrome extra color EBX 100 slide film with the Pentax ME Super and the DFA 50/2.8 macro . The EBX is a very nice film and does wonders where you have red ( velvia does an awesome job too but EBX is warmer ) . The only drawback with the EBX really is that the blacks are not true blacks ... Velvia has much truer blacks and because of this I am overexposing EBX just a bit otherwise I have to burn the shadows in photoshop or push the blacks. I do like the results and nothing beats a good slide to my eyes... and the only way to get these amazing colors... straight out of the camera.. Digital can't come even close with the best post-production techniques... scene-dependant of course

Mer, really liking the combination of the ME Super and that DFA50 Macro. Slide film doesn't hurt, either <g>.

Agnostic, always great to see your stuff - funny that your latest post was shot on a rangefinder (albeit MF). I found a Kodak Retina IIa a week ago for a good price and thought I'd give rangefinders a try. These shots are from the first roll through the camera. No meter, so I guesstimated about half the exposures. For the others I used the meter in my K10D.

Kodak Retina IIa, Kodak Ultramax 400

Focusing has been a bit of an adventure. I've been spoiled by my ME Super's viewfinder.

A Merry Christmas and my best to all,

@mer Lovely colors indeed!

@Kjon those look good, I like the one of the church tower with the cool blue sky and warm yellow light.

Smooth clouds

Pentax ME Super + Pentax DFA 50/2.8 macro + Kodak Elitechrome Extra Colour EBX 100 slide film

It's been bothering me - what are those clouds called?

So I finally found my chart, 'Clouds. One key to foretelling the weather.' published by Environment Canada.
(A leftover from my flying days.)

Altocumulus - Yeah!

Slowly going through my stack of negatives:

Life in the fast lane

Village fountain

Still love the APX when correctly exposed

Merry Christmas,

J.Scott : Altocumulus !!! thanx !

Agnostic : Nice ! I love the 400x , on MF it should be even better !

KJon : I agree , the church tower has lovely lighting !

One more with the Pentax ME Super + DFA 50/2.8 macro + Kodak Elitechrome extra color EBX 100 slide film * I think you can see that EBX doesn't produce true blacks... that's a shame really

The Elitechrome blacks aren't too bad, though yeah, not true black. The film looks to be better than the old Ektrachrome though. Daughter gave me 2 rolls in 35mm for my birthday, one's in the cam right now.

Rich, that's a nice Vancouver skyline, nice color - what film is that?

This here is with the Bessa I Vaskar 6x9, Ilford Delta 100 developed in D-76 straight.

Long ago and far away...

I took this double exposure in 1975 with my Spotmatic F and (I think) a 120mm Super Takumar. I still have both and am still married to the woman in the picture...

Ahah, that's lovely, Tom. For a split second I thought it was a picture of someone blowing out smoke. I have a ton of those of my smoker friends because I get bored when they start smoking :P Lovely woman too

That's a great shot, Nesster. Somehow nostalgic. Old Finland has more snow than that though! I have a few old folders, but their condition isn't good enough for use
