There's a bit of a story behind this one: I'd arranged to meet up with someone to sell a lens over the long weekend. On my way to meet the buyer, I passed through Chinatown just in time for the Canada Day parade put on by the local business association.
Now, if I'm shooting my Exa, I'll probably be using a wider lens — IMO not a great choice for a parade unless you want to get up close & personal with the marchers. But I had the lens I was selling in my bag, and coincidentally it was also an Exakata mount. The half-dozen or so photos I took before continuing on my way probably about tripled the number of shots I'd taken with this lens.
Technically, there's a lot that's imperfect with this photo: a shutter speed getting near one-over-focal-length, both myself and the subject in motion, and a very dark focusing screen means that nothing is really sharp, and the film had clearly not been kept in a fridge. But there's a charm to it that I like.
