Shelter in place here in California has given me the chance to go back and scan some older photos. I'd originally sent the photos from a trip to Africa last year to a lab for processing and scanning. I got a PrimeFilm XAs recently, so I thought I'd scan some of those myself.

This one on a LX, K 35mm f/3.5, Portra 400. The negative was pretty badly scratched in some parts. Overall pleased with the dust and scratch removal function, although it's not quite perfect of course.

Hi all, long time between posts! Hope you're all well enough with this horrible global pandemic

Recently I got a lot of colour and slide developed that I'd been hanging onto for way too long. The photo below is Velvia 50 that expired some years ago. The whole roll has a soft warm tint to it which I kind of like.

I'm hoping when the shops open back up on May 11th, to get back some E100 that I sent in before the lockdown measures started.
Shot on my stolen MZ-S, high hopes they come out looking as good as this ;-).

Thanks!

My lab was closed for a couple weeks at the start of the COVID-19 outbreak, but has reopened with a new social distance plan.

- All film for processing has to be dropped in a slot in the side of the building, in the supplied order mark-up envelopes. (You can do this 24x7)
- Pickup is Monday to Wednesday by appointment only.

So my new routine now is every Monday I walk to the lab and drop off this weeks film and pickup last weeks. This weeks film scans will be ready Wednesday afternoon for download and I will get an email when they are ready. I then call the lab and prepay for this weeks processing/scans and book a time to pickup them up the following Monday. Repeat weekly......

The lab also sells film, so I can add that to my order if I need any.

I have Monday's off so this works out well for me and lets me do my shooting over the weekend. (I don't work Friday's either)
