Pretty sad news: Fujifilm discontinues its Pro 400H color negative film in 35mm, 120 formats: Digital Photography Review

I've shot some of my favorite work on PRO 400H.
2021 off to a great start!

Yep, 400H was a very good film. Better colours than Portra, though grain not quite as fine.

No mention of it on the fujifilm_profilm feed on Instagram. I suppose that'll be the end for that source of fine photos.

Well, they specifically said it’s due to the raw materials being difficult to source. They used the same terms with the original Acros I’ve read. One can hope they re-engineer the film like they did with Acros II..

Nope, it's a better option than Vaseline!

I got some 5x4 negs back from the lab that I took last summer and tried out my new pixl-latr for the first time. Works quite well although I think I have to be more fussy with the dusting...

It is really sad news, Pro 400H had its own look, as your photos well demonstrate. Such lovely greens and the highlights just had a look that was very different from Kodak's golden tones. Superia should stick around, I like it but 400H just had a subtlety to it that Superia lacks.

Not sure why, but I really liked it in 120 for my old folders. In 135 I usually use Ektar for colour.

I went looking through the photos I had posted using it, and my favourites were also from my folders. For whatever reason it really worked well in them.

man those are really nice......afraid i do not know what "good film" is yet......purdy much a noob n use a lot of expired stuff just to shoot
