Those are some empty sidewalks you got there Kevin! Definitely not Venice Beach where so many of Javier's photos are taken.

Steve
Empty sidewalks and quite a few empty stores, too...

Well, we don't have his weather...although today is coming pretty close (if you disregard the thunder shower we had this afternoon).

Best,
Kevin

All...thanks for the positive strokes on the Chamonix shots. The bar is set pretty high here, but at least the crowd is friendly and supportive. I am seriously scared of posting on the LFPhoto.info forum (LINK). Perhaps with time...

Steve
Well, your shots look great to me too. I remember how nervous I was before posting photos on Pentaxforums! The bar being set high, but a friendly community in here makes a good learning environment, IMO.

Kevin - I like your shots, interesting to see how different they look compared to Javiers. And a lot less people around.
mehanikaloptikal - I quite like your shots, especially the last one
And Jussi, thanks for the advice and the link on the 616.

And here's a couple more shots...

Queenstown, NZ - Super Program, M50 f1.4, Fuji 160S (I think)

And here's a shot my girlfriend took of me. I like the lighting, the rest of the shot is OK I 'spose
Super Program, M50 f1.4, Tri-X

I like that one a lot! There is something very retro about those two girls and the entire scene. (Not to mention the film)

645 learning curve

Still getting to know this puppy.
I seem to have trouble getting focus. I did not realise that the neutral position for the dipter was already -1 so I had turned it all the way to the right. Checking focus with another photographer, what I was seeing in focus was not. Put the diopter back to center and hope that things will go better.

One of the least out of focus shot.

And of course still practising developing 1:100 Rodinal stand 60'.

Cheers,

Luc

The girls were dressed up in forties/fifties clothes. No idea what for.

Still looks very nice!

Forgive me for displaying digital camera pron here but this is my latest 35mm street shooting toy. Apparently it had the best semi wide angle optic they had ever tested when they originally reviewed this at Pop photo.

And a few test shots. Konica Auto S3 rangefinder, Rollei Retro 100 in Rodinal 1:100
