Still looks very nice!

Thank you.
The S3 looks like a nice fun camera!

I think I improved a little bit on the focusing issue but I still have to play a little bit more with the diopter, otherwise it is back to shooting with glasses on which I hate.

Actually have a little time to play catchup and post the comments I should have made all along. This thread is indeed an embarassment of riches...

@Agnostic - congrats on the focusing screen for the MX. Looking forward to seeing more from you and that cam. Coincidentally I had a major Craigslist score a few weeks back that netted a nice MX, but it's in need of some work; film winder is stuck and needs a massage from Eric. The Leiden Central night shot is great. Love the dual X's formed by the lights on the ramp and rail on the left and right sides of the frame.

Smoking woman and Snacks shot - looks like you're going over to the darkside wtih these rangefinder shots , dynamite capture..

Retro girls on bridge - I'm with Steve; I'm liking retro...alot. Photograph isn't bad either.

@Jason - Queenstown New Zealand color shot (Fuji 160s) is beautiful. I've got a roll of that film sitting in my fridge and I'm itching to put it to use. Your girl is pretty good w/ a camera, too. Nice portrait she did of you and that beer looks good. It's fun to have a face to go with the name.

Airshow re-enactors above - great shot and hard to go wrong with Ultramax.

@Luc - congrats on the 645. I was looking at that camera REALLY hard. Thanks for buying it and saving me the money . Glad it went to a good home and that it's being put to good use. Also glad that you sorted out the diopter issue, although from the three shots you've posted (landscape and the two shots of the the cat) we'd never know you were having focus problems. Re the glasses, I have to wear mine all the time and the included diopters don't come close to touching my myopia, so I always have to wear my specs when shooting anyway.

@Javier - nice shots all, but the rear view mirror is a real standout. What's the film?

@Mike Cash - great shot. I always love your stuff and this one is no exception. DOF is perfect and I love the dollar bills in the guy's hat band and such a beautiful girl in the tam. Wow. Composition is stellar and it mustn't have been easy to get the framing you wanted in the midst of all those people.

Best to all,
Kevin

I haven't posted in a while, so I have a bunch of photos here and more to come. I still have a ton of colour rolls I haven't developed. These are all Foma 200 in Xtol stock. That broth is getting pretty thick, it's all green and weird, but works. Taken with either Spot F + 55mm or Olympus XA, I think.

Scanning photos is killing me. It just takes too long. Also, I still don't have any way to scan my medium format shots.

@Kjon
You are very welcome
Next time I will try to get a 67ii out of your sight just in case
Seriously I purchased the 645 and lenses from Murray here at the forum. He is a great guy and we had a nice chat both of us living close by.

I think that I have put the focusing issue behind me now:

Fomapan 100 in Rodinal

Now a curious thing that is physically impossible.
I could swear that crop on the negative come out SMALLER than as viewed in the viewfinder. I guess that such a large viewfinder make me see things that are not included on the border

The 645 is very nice to shoot with. It might look big but it is very comfortable to handle. That said I always shoot with a tripod with it. I will leave handheld for the LX sometime.

Cheers,

Luc

Luc, looks like you have those focus issues sorted out quite handily as the shots above show. Really nice stuff. Your ringing endorsement of the 645 isn't helping my CBA . I hope it gives you many years of reliable service.

Happy shooting,
Kevin

Cheers, Nesster. It's actually an offshoot of the Oulu river, only the boat's from Helsinki! It doesn't see much use now. Another one:

Zoned Out

Here is a recent snapshot of my 2-yr-old granddaughter on a little merry-go-round. She looks like she has gone around too many times and is getting zoned out!

Taken with Pentax K1000, Pentax-M 50mm f2.0, Kalimar thyristor flash, Tri-X at ISO400 in D76 1:1. Negative scanned with Epson V500.
