Jim,

Thanks for the comment and I'm not to sure about this Superia 200. The Superia 400 didn't seem this grainy in almost the same light. I'm pretty sure it's the film. Having the trees so sharp and then a grainy sky I'm not sure if I like it as much as the 400 now. I'll see what happens with the other 3 rolls of 200 before I decide.

No, I had target process them and put them on a CD. I also request straight scans with no PP at all.
Do you mean the Target department store? Hmmm, did you do any PP to these, or did they look that good straight off of the CD? I take mine to Walgreens, and am not very happy with their developing. Might have to try Target!! Do you know off the top of your head what they charge per roll to process, and put on a CD?

The best thing that ever happened to me was having CVS screw up my last roll of film because It caused me to search out another option and Target was under my nose...Anyway, they have done the best job of any 1 hour shops I have been to. Buy you need to request ''NO PP'' Those images I posted are right from the CD. I did nothing to them other than crop and straighten. They charge .99cents for the processing and .99 for the cd and the index card is 19cents. All in all it comes to less than three bucks..Prints are extra. When I have taken the same images and scanned the negatives myself, my results are the same as targets with out having to spend 2 hours scanning them. That leaves more time for shooting.

I'm back

Well I've been so busy with my day job and loss of opportunity to shoot anything that I've not posted in a while. I drive along the I5 from northstate ca to Seattle. It drives me nuts seeing all the great shots I'm missing. It's hard to find a place on the side of the freeway to park a truck. I also have just a 43 limited. So reach is limited. Here's a few taken with my *ist 35mm 43 limited tri-x 400. scanned on a plustek 7500i at 7200dpi 16bit greyscale. some sharpening and levels adjustments in Apple Aperture I'll also be doing some tri and quadtones with these soon. taken in Oregon along the freeway between mile marker 148-175

Very nice eccentric. Where u using a red filter?

Secondly, in the future, if you can number the images or place them in a row, it will make it easier to comment on them.

That would put them somewhere between Eugene & Roseburg, no? I live a bit further north, near mm 238 or so...

Sure thing Javier. Oh, and no filter used.

Here are some old new ones. 99 cents film from the 99 cents store. Really it is not bad film. I wonder who really makes it.
These pictures are not great, but thought they would show the range of this cheap film. All in all $3.30 for film, processing and cd rom with Index card..Not bad.

This puppy was scanned from one of my first rolls of colour film, shot in 1971. It was Kodacolor. Can't remember offhand what the speed was- probably 100 or less. The subject is a scientific camp in the Canadian Arctic where I spent two summers and got sucked in to both photography and the North. Camera was a Taron rangefinder with a so-so lens.
