Herman The Sturgeon

Ricoh XR-2s, Tamron 28/2.5 (02B), Rollei Retro 100, duotone in PP

10 feet (3.1m) and 400 pounds (181 kg) of weird, Herman the Sturgeon is king of the sturgeon viewing ponds at Bonneville Dam. Big as he is, Herman is relative small for a mature White Sturgeon. Large specimens grown to 20 feet (6.1m) and weigh over 1000 pounds (454 kg).

My first film shots

Hello people.
At first i must say, that these are my first film shots. Second, the reason why i tried film is because of this thread. I kept watching it for months and finally, few weeks ago i decided that i will try it too. So i ordered Pentax K1000 from ebay, put on the old centon 50/1.7 lens and loaded it up with Kodak BW400CN. So here is the result. At last, i would like to thank you all for those great shots, that are impossible to make with digital. Since i got my K1000 i haven`t used my K200d and now the shots.

Nice work with the BW400CN. If you can manage it, try to desaturate with whatever image processor you have handy, as these have that tell-tale minilab green-orange BW400CN look

Dawn on a winter NJ shore, a few years ago, I had the 16-45 but no digital yet, so this was with the ZX-10 - I didn't record what film, likely Kodak or Fuji 400.

A couple of years ago, with the Yashica TL Electro-X, and a 28mm lens - probably the Super Tak, not that it matters on a shot like this. Again I didn't record the film.

great shots from Kosice
Did you develop the film yourself or did you get it developed at a local Kodak lab?

They were probably scanned as color as well. Some of them look faded vintage color prints.
