Last night I developed my second roll of film at home.
Here are a few of the results.

All are Arista Premium developed in Diafine. Shot with Pentax SV and Super Tak 55/1.8.

Good on you Swift1 for self-reliance. Really nice results. I haven't dared to do my own stuff yet.

Best to you both,
Kevin

Excellent results, classic gear & film & chemistry.

You do know the FAIL to develop is coming up, somewhere along the next few films Seems to happen to most of us.

Thanks Nesster.
What do you mean by "FAIL to develop" ?
Doesn't sound to good.

Oh, nothing bad... I developed 2 rolls in PhotoFlo soon after I'd re-started, and I still am miffed at the pics I lost. And another time I loaded the tank with 120 film, and by the time I put developer in, I thought I was doing 35mm. Other have suddenly found they lost the knack for putting the film on the spool. Or equivalent boneheaded things.

It happens.

Indeed it does. I have put in too little developer or mostly trashed a roll trying to get it into a cheap reel.

Does losing track of time with subsequent over/under development count? How about way too warm wash water? Clump, clump, clump, re-ti-cu-la-tion...

I bet that you are really happy with the Chamonix and it is a safe bet.

haha, I am taking note of your experiences here... for when I might try my own development sometime in the future! Curiouslly it reminds me of home brewing, where instead of "fail to develop" you would have the bugbear of infection. Infection being what happens when you fail to keep out (by appropriate sanitation) harmful bacteria from your carefully crafted brew. I think the end result of infection is something close to vinegar :/

I keep meaning to comment on the Chamonix shots; I really like them and the last one is no exception. very cool.

For me it was mixing up which canister held film pushed to ISO 3200 and which had film pulled to ISO 320. Neither looked all that great when I was through with them...

Thanks.
Some of our beaches are full of flotsam that are sometime quite interesting.

Thanks for the compliments on the Chamonix shot. I am still trying to tune the "seeing" process for this camera. There is so much more to shooting than just pointing the thing. I still really like my SLRs and rangefinders, but the view camera is so different than my miniature cameras. The larger format means freedom from film grain. The movements allow for a more natural treatment of receding lines. And control of the plane of focus?...I haven't even begun to scratch the surface from a creative standpoint. Probably the coolest thing is rise/fall and shift...incredible...
