Pretty grainy film. It had been a long while since I have used this. Love hate relationship.

Great shots as usual! Isn't that Efke 25 the same as Adox pan 25?

One more prego photo of my wife with our son. Chamonix 45n-1, Fujinon W 125mm, and Horseman 6x9 back. TMY-2 in Pyrocat MC.

I need to burn down her right arm a bit for viewing on screen. It's not much above base+fog so the grain gets exaggerated a bit on my monitor; it's barely noticeable on a print though.

Thanks! I like the catchlight in your son's eyes.

I linked the next image a few days ago from photobucket. Now that I've uploaded it to flickr it looks how I intended, not messed with like I think photobucket does:

I wish you would stop posting that stuff. You are making us all feel inadaquate

Seriously though, you have got a great gift of being able to visualise a b&w shot.

Thanks! That's a lovely shot you have there, great tones and light.
I'm not sure Efke 25 is the same as Adox 25. I think they are made in different factories anyway, may still be the same formula though.

Thanks! I still think I could get better at previsualizing b&w though. And I get jeallous of the shots some of you guys pull off too :P. I think that's why this thread is interesting, lots of different styles and techniques of shooting.

I finally decided to develop some Tri-x 400 in Rodinal. The internet is full of postings about those who love this combination and those who think it just shouldn't be done.

After developing one roll, I have to say that I'm not convinced. The shots do have a nice "retro" feel about them because of the visible grain but I don't think this combo is very forgiving. I took one shot of a girl in the street that I thought would look great but it must have been overexposed slightly and her face looks terrible. I've included a 100% crop of the scan at the end so you can see what I mean. I developed in Rodinal 1+50 for 13 minutes. I was fairly gentle with the agitation to try and keep the grain down to a reasonable size.

I'll print a couple of the shots off in the darkroom in case they look better on 16x12 paper but I think I'll be going back to D76 for Tri-x and keeping the Rodinal for APX100 and Acros.

These are my color shots from the summer. I believe all are with a MX. I just realized that my photos looked different because I tried out Rite-Aid 400 instead of my standby of Kodak Ultramax 400.

Thanks! The bokeh in the bike shot is so buttery!
