Steve, nice to see you with CBA again Those Zorkis are nice - I bought a Fed 3 instead, as when I was trying them out at the camera show, the Zorki view finders were great but on the two I tried the rf patch was very faint. The Fed has a cramped vf but the rf patch is obvious.

Here's medicine against the Bessa lust: Jupiter 12, a Biotar copy where the rear element gets very close to the shutter curtain. No room for one of those newfangled TTL meter gizmos

Ilford XP2, Fed 3, Jupiter-12
Nice shots! And a nice camera. I have one with an Industar n61 53/2.8 but my shutter curtain broke. I made some shots I like a lot with it though.

Very nice! The SA-1 is a re-badged Ricoh XR7 and a very capable body!

I noticed when I posted this that there is some faint banding on the left margin. Lazy/hesititant trailing shutter curtain? Oh well, that is why we shoot test rolls.
...and after another test roll shooting the sky and a blank piece of white foamboard, the camera goes back to Fedka. It appears that both curtains may be binding and/or lazy. There is the banding on the left side of the frame and also significant underexposure on the right side. Yuri (Fedka) has agreed to CLA the camera under his sales agreement and send it back to me. Great guy that Yuri.

Took the following photo w/ LX and K135/2.5 on Fujifilm Reala 100, color is a bit strange, but I quite like it:

I got the E-6 processed roll of Provia 100F back today. This is some of the expired film given to me by member billmcf. Most of it expired in 05 I think so I shot a test roll to see how the colors turned out. It looks good to me and I think I like this film a lot. I found it very easy to scan, I shot at box rated speed and every exposure was great except a few from a particular lens were under exposed a decent amount which I think is the lens.

Anyways here are few. All shot with MZ-L and FA 50/1.4 except the cosmo which was VS1 90/22.5 macro I think.

It could be the scanning or it could be from being expired, but these look warmer than I'm used to seeing from Provia. This is a good thing IMO. I love Provia, but I think it looks much better with that little bit of warmth. I like them all, but particularly the first 3.

Nice work Colton. I was a little jealous you got that bunch of film, but it looks like you are making good use of it! Keep it coming
Expired or not, I'm particularly interested in the Provia results. Been meaning to try that film, in fact I haven't tried any slide film at all yet..

cheers

Thanks Vertex Ninja. I just used auto settings with the Epson software when I scanned these and compared to other E-6 films it was very easy to scan.

Whatever you did, I'd stick with it! Provia is known to have a bit of a coolness to it and I don't see that here. Almost like you used a light warming filter. You should also try Astia sometime(if you haven't). It's not as punchy, but it's even easier to scan if you can believe that.

She came! Our beautiful Amelia. 10.20.2010 @7:47P.M.

MZ-S & 43mm Limited; Neopan 1600@1600 in HC-110 1.5:200 for 30min.

Nothing artsy, I just wanted to document the moment.
She had a little bit of meconium in her fluid and the cord around her neck. The NICU checked her out(pic 1) and she's perfect!!!
